Bucharest Băneasa – Aurel Vlaicu International Airport has specially designated parking areas for the public. In this respect, stopping or station vehicles in prohibited areas and indicated by signs leads to blocking or removal of such vehicles.
Inside the public or restricted areas of the airport, it is forbidden to leave the luggage unattended, even for a short period of time. In case the luggage is found unattended, they will be considered suspect and can be destroyed for reasons of security.
The access to the security control filter is allowed only to holders of a valid boarding card.
Following the threat of terrorist attacks, the security controls applied to passengers and their luggage before boarding are detailed in order to prevent from introducing on board of the aircraft the prohibited items (weapons, explosives or other dangerous objects and devices), which may be used to commit an act of unlawful interference.
In order to avoid overcrowding the security control filters, passengers must ensure they do not carry into the luggage (both in the cabin and in the hold) the prohibited items for aircraft transport.
a) Guns, firearms and weapons.
Any object capable or apparently able to launch projectiles or to cause harm, such as:

Any contusive instrument that may cause harm, such as:
d) Flammable and explosive substances
Any explosive or highly flammable substance that present a health risk for passengers and crew or security / safety of aircraft or goods, such as:
e) Chemical and toxic substances
Any toxic or chemical substance that present a health risk for passengers and crew or security / safety of the aircraft or property, such as:
f) Liquids
Liquids, except in individual containers with a maximum capacity of 100 milliliters, or equivalent, in a transparent plastic resalable bag with a capacity of more than 1 liter (approximate size 20 cm x 20 cm).
The content of the plastic bag should fit comfortably and the bag must be completely closed. The following items are considered liquids: gels, pastes, lotions, and mixtures of liquid/solid substances in containers under pressure, such as toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, shaving foam, aerosols and other items of similar consistency.
There can be exceptions when the liquid:
1. Is used during the flight and is prescribed for medical reasons or for a specific diet, including food for infants. When requested, passengers must present a proof of the autenticity of the excepted liquid.
2. Has been achieved in the area of air operations, after the control of your boarding pass, the points of sale under security procedures approved under the security of the airport, provided the liquid to be in a sealed bag and there is evidence satisfactory to the effect of the acquisition of the bag the same day.
3. was obtained in the security zone with restricted access from points of sale under security procedures approved under the security of the airport.
4. was obtained in another airport community, provided the liquid to be in a sealed bag and there is satisfactory evidence attesting to the purchase of the bag in the area of airport air operations the same day.
5. was achieved on an aircraft of a European Union air carrier, provided the liquid to be in a sealed bag and there is satisfactory evidence attesting to the purchase on board the same day.
g). Hand luggage that exceeds the size of 56cm x 45 cm x 25 cm.
The dimensions include baggage handle, belts, pockets, wheels, and other prominent components, including the contents of luggage.
There may be granted exemptions for hand luggage which exceeds the permitted size and contains an object or more objects that are too large to fit in luggage and represent valuables which are fragile.
Passengers must present the luggage that exceed the permitted size at check in point in order to be approved and the screening point to be examined.
If the articles mentioned above are found in the hand baggage, they will be confiscated and will not be returned.
In situations in which you have doubts about an item, contact the airline personnel you travel with.
Security personnel can refuse the transportation of any items deemed suspicious and not included in the list mentioned above.
The following items are forbidden in hold luggage:
It is recommended that people with cardiac stimulant to inform security staff before moving through the gate metal detectors
Before passing through the gate metal detectors, passengers must take off their coats, carry-on bags, belts, etc, to remove all the objects from pockets and to hand them in the trays in order to be controlled separately.
Portable computers and other large electric appliances should be removed from baggage to be examined separately
Security personnel performs its duties in accordance with national, international and European Union aviation security regulations. At security control filters passengers are obliged to follow the indications of security personnel.
